Because a Man is Too Dark for the Air
mixed media on paper14" X 19"1993

This Metaphysical Map was exhibited in the Hermitage exhibition Emergency of Joy.

The title cartouche is a quotes part of a poem by Steve Palmer:

A man gets out of his heart the thin height to leap into,

because a man is too dark for the air.

And so must we leap, in disbelief that we are not things of the sky.

A small collage element is often included in the maps.
