The Body Psalms project: re-evaluating the body
Restoreth, short film from the Body Psalms series.
The Body Psalms– a series of short art films that combine dance, poetry, and sculptural form, to force the body and the sacred word into the same sentence, so that the one cannot be seen without the other. These films are a celebration of the sanctity of the body through performance rituals and video sculptures involving dancers and diverse ordinary people unfolding passages of mystical texts painted on skin to create moving sculptural poetry.
These are carefully choreographed art pieces combining the values of poetry, sculpture and spiritual challenge into short vignettes.
